These are the steps you need to take if you are a queer creative based in Wales and want to be showcased by On Your Face.
You need to email us to firstname.lastname@example.org with:
- The form filled in with your information.
- Find the form for musicians and bands here
- Find the form for LGBTQ+ collectives/ projects/ initiatives here.
You will have to download it, fill it and send it to us.
As part of your application in your form, you will need to have a professional artist statement. If you are not sure what that looks like here are some guidelines, you can also have a look at the other registered creatives for some inspiration.
- An image for
your profile (a logo, an image of you or an image of your art)
Content showcasing work (this could include a set
of images, video URL, sound URL, text…)
(Please, make sure you send quality images that are optimized for website use. No large images please.)
If you have accessibility needs and need assistance filling out the form, we can organize a zoom meeting to talk you through the form and fill it up for you. We are also working towards creating a video to talk you through the questions and we accept applications in other formats like video from applicants with accessibility needs.
Once you have sent us this information, we will create a profile for you on the website with the information you have provided us. If you have agreed for your work to be shown on social media, we will be showing your work linked to your website and social media.
If you have shown interest in participating in the zine or podcast once the time comes, we will be sending you an email with details on how to participate.
From this point, you will be on our mailing list and we will contact you once any opportunities and events arise.
Shopping queer is a directory of LGBTQ+ online shops If you are an LGBTQ+ artist, maker or craftsperson of Wales and want your online shop to be added to our directory, you only need to send us:
- A square image showcasing what you make, the link to your shop and a maximum of 50 words describing what you sell and what makes it great (this information will appear on the website).
