Molly Allen

Molly’s artistic practice explores and celebrates themes of identity, sexuality, and self-expression through a queer lens.

As a young person raised in a small, conservative town, Molly’s queerness was something they had to mask.

Illustration provided an outlet to explore their identity, often drawing genderless, vibrant figures inspired by non-conformist, queer-coded subcultures such as the punk movement of the 1970s, the New Romantics and the Club Kid scene, thus allowing them to feel more connected to both themselves and the queer community.

Molly uses a multitude of mediums, including pen, coloured pencils, collage, and digital art.
